the feds review all mergers.

the news yesterday just said ALA, a big customer of ETEK, wanted to delay the merger (not stop it).

this brings a little uncertainty to the deal, thus, the market gets to play with the stock. uncertainty creates risks and opportunities.

my view is that ETEK is a great play in the fiberoptics regardless of whether or not JDSU buys them out. they make components that are vital,,,otherwise, ALA wouldn't be making a stink.

i believe JDSU/ETEK merger will go through, and the ALA complaint is really a nonevent. however, this is obviously one person's opinion.
