<i use cable modem.
how much does DSL cost in the US? is it cheaper than cable?>

About $50 tops. $30 for the low. But the phone companies are woefully dragging their feet. Cable is the only thing available in my area. But I refuse to give Time Warner my business. I couldn't depend on their cable TV system being stable and working, so I am sure the internet access would be just about as bad.

The RBOC's are getting a lot of smaller competitors in the DSL business. If they don't move soon, they will lose the market.

Reading between the lines, It would seem that the new EGRP website coming someday will need high speed access to fully use all the functions and tools available?

More such intitiatives along that line by more companies should quickly bring dsl demand to critical mass.
