Hi Jeff; Great posts. Here is my answer to your questions. I would be willing to use by Rocket e-book, (or its eventual successor) in any of the ways you describe. They all make perfect sense and the size and readability fo the screen cannot be discounted when ultimately measuring functionality. I showed my e-book to a friend who is getting ready to go on an extensive tour of Europe. His comment? "Boy, if I could download all my travel guides into this thing, then edit the parts I want to emphasize, and it had GPS in it which i could integrate with the maps in it, it would be the perfect, perfect travel device". He's right.
