The Tracker Corporation of America and Florida Police Chiefs Education And Research Foundation Sign Formal License Agreement
TORONTO, Mar 23, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The Tracker Corporation of America (OTC Bulletin Board: TRKR) and the Florida Police Chiefs Education and Research Foundation, Inc. ("the Foundation") jointly announced today that they have signed a formal License Agreement to collaborate on a statewide Operation Bicycle Identification Program.
The five-year License Agreement which was signed on March 22, 2000 and is effective immediately, grants to Tracker Corporation the use of the Foundation's name, co-marketing efforts, trademarks, and certain other property in connection with the sale and marketing of Tracker's property identification and recovery products and services.
The Foundation will cooperate with Tracker through its Florida-based office and S. E. Regional Manager, Terry Hensley, in the sale and distribution of products and services that adds demonstrated value to communities in Florida. Mr. Hensley's background includes positions as former City Administrator in Jackson, Mississippi, Chief of Police in Garland, Texas and St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, as well as other executive management level positions.
The Foundation will use its best efforts to secure the cooperation of various police agencies throughout the State of Florida as a conduit for selling Tracker's products and services through community based organizations. The Foundation will facilitate the convening of a steering committee and Tracker designated personnel to develop a "tool-kit" that can be given to a participating agency for implementation. Under the terms, the contract may be extended for an additional five years by mutual agreement. Royalty terms were not disclosed.
