DSL stuff.. 1) go to dslreports.com for more information. 2) bell atlantic has had terrible feedback on the comp.dcom.xdsl usenet newsgroup. i've just signed up for covad recently... 3) i chose as my ISP westnet.com (in westchester county, ny) because i know the owner for years, and he's extremely reliable. you must be within a certain number of feet (that's how it's measured) of the central office in order to get it. and unfortunately, one comapny will say you can get it, another might say you can't...and there's long waits... there, i've said too much. on topic: i'm no longer a platinum customer as of next week! e-trade would have kept me if they had quicker executions / less down time, i started 'moving' everything to another account a few months ago, and haven't made a trade there the last 3.
