EConnect to offer unlimited Net access for Rs 499/month ($11.50/month)

EConnect India Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of media and television firm Zee Telefilms Ltd, will offer low-cost Internet access in three Indian cities from the last week of March, an EConnect official said on Wednesday.

"We will offer unlimited usage at Rs 499 per month initially. There are no strings attached," Sunil Jasuja, EConnect president, told a news conference.

The service will be available in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore to begin with and will be later launched in Madras, Hyderabad, Calcutta and Pune, he said.
