Perhaps you underestimate the effect that DOJ lawsuits have on the stock price of a company, especially if there are monetary payouts in the works. I've owned several companies over the years under heavy lawsuits, one had to declare bankruptcy while another wallowed for years until they shed the lawsuit settlement off to another formed corporation. Now that companies stock has risen from 20 to 225.
