Thanks Wayne,
I "suspect" that the deal you refer to is an ancilliary deal to any 360Network IPO investment and in fact is another deal involving Shaw and 360 for the provision of a secondary backbone land based structure in Canada. What supports this theory is that 125,000,000 does not even come near to a large investment in the upcoming 360 NetworksIPO (certainly nowhere near 49% of 360Networks). Shaw invested 400,000,000 in what I think is the secondary deal you're talking about.
So, an investment in Rogers is not an investment in the IPO spin technically but Hey, who knows, this secondary project of 360, Shaw and Rogers may be a hell of a play in itself. Its connection to 360 alone would probably cause some excitement but I still think the play is SJR. Time will tell. I'll either be right or I'll be wrong. <gg>
Regards
C
