Anone isn't here, but if anyone will due, yes. In the sense that you are talking about, it's the routing device that is the pipe between two networks, such as a LAN and a WAN.

Here is a trace route from two sights. Possibly both siights are on the same server?

I believe the data to which you refer is a traceroute dialog from a site.
