Lumenon never performed or delivered what they said. I was at OFC and word was if you want a good laugh go to the Lumenon booth and see what a 1 billion dollar company has for products. Lumenon said on Jan 25, 1999 they "built compact 8-channel dense wavelength division multiplexer chips," and that "limited production runs are expected to start in the fall of 1999." That is from post #1 on this board. It is now one year and 3 months later and they still have not made anything or shipped any DWDM's but the stock keeps going up. Why does anybody believe in this company? It must be based on religion because there are not any products to back up their outlandish statements. I was at OFC and all they had was a sub standard eight channel specification data sheet with an obvious mock up of a package. I am not even sure they had anything in the package since they sure couldn't tell you how it performed. When you talked to Lumenon at OFC they were happy to tell you how they are going to put everybody else out of business with their fantastic PHASIC technology. They also tell you how they are making every optical component product that can possibly be made. They make Optical Add-Drop Multiplexers, Optical Cross Connects, Photonic Switches, 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128 channel DWDM's. You name it Lumenon has it. Lumenon thinks if they keep saying it people will believe it. I guess it's true since they are worth over a billion dollars with absolutely nothing to show for it. If Lumenon was even close to having something that worked don't you think that MOLX would have it displayed it in their booth at OFC since they are planning on selling Lumenon's products? I asked the MOLX booth guys why they were not showing any of Lumenon's products. They said they did not know what was happening with the Lumenon Project. Sounds like a science fiction movie. Watch the share holder lawsuits happen when this baby starts to unwind. greeze
