I just got done reading the Prudential Securities March 13 reiteration of their $62 price target for EGRP, and the analyst was quite excited about the ATM deal. He/she noted that E*Trade is the only pure internet financial play with such a network, and it was an excellent move toward making E*Trade a real financial portal.

What excites me as much about it, though, is the fact that sometime reasonably soon (I hope), there will be 8,500 E*Trade branded ATM machines in very high foot-traffic places all around the U.S. That will not only bring a great deal of convenience to customers, it will also bring an incredible amount of brand-awareness to E*Trade, perhaps allowing us to ease up some on the advertising.

I watch the daily movement of the stock as much as the next guy, but I'm absolutely convinced that this is a tremendous long-term play, as I've noted before.
