  VERNON, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2000-- Aquatic Cellulose(OTC Bulletin Board:AQCI - news)
Gary Ackles, AQCI President and CEO., responding to an interviewer's question at the Global Opportunities for Business and Environment convention in Vancouver, BC stated, ``I was surprised by the strength of the sales from the Amazonian harvested hardwoods. Our first quarter sales will substantially exceed the company's expectations. Yet candidly, I am even more excited by the many positive events that have recently unfolded and are continuing to unfold not only at the Brazilian project but in other places.' Mr Ackles at another scheduled formal meeting with major media and business' representatives stated the following: ``For AQCI, this year promises to be the most exciting year yet. AQCI's objective for the year is four folds. First, to continue the expansion of our Brazilian project. Second, to establish new markets for our lumber, especially our exotic and rare species. Third, to grow our company more rapidly through acquisitions and/or joint venture relationships. Fourth, to expand our International operations to a third Continent to further elevate global awareness of our company for more rapid revenue growth.'
When asked to comment upon the location of the company's ``third Continent' project and if the company was in current discussions with anyone as to joint ventures or acquisitions, Mr. Ackles responded; ``There are a number of announcements schedules by the company next week and the following week, specific to our efforts and successes in relation to testing, analysis, retrieval, harvesting, marketing and sales following which your question as to location of the next project shall be addressed.'
  About the Company
Aquatic Cellulose International Corp. is a growth stage, technology based company, that is retrieving what was once considered a lost natural resource. That resource is aquatic timber. Since 1996, the company has invested more than $US 1,000,000 into the research and development of a patented robotic technology for cutting and retrieving such timber. This new method dramatically increases production efficiencies to the point that large scale harvesting operations are now commercially viable. As a result, Aquatic Cellulose is positioned at the extreme forefront and will become the first global corporation in an emerging industry worth untold billions in untapped timber reserves. In November of 1999, the company began its first such large scale operation beneath the Tucurui reservoir in northern Brasil. Estimated at over $US 600,000,000. This multi-phase project is expected to take up to twenty years to complete.
In February of 2000, ACIC debuted 'THE AMAZON LINE' at the annual National Association of Music Merchandisers (N.A.M.M.) Convention in Los Angeles. 'THE AMAZON LINE' is a unique product line of exotic tropical hardwood which are being marketed to a wide range of high end industries from musical instruments to fine furniture to precious works of art. The company has secured the Internet domain name www.amazonline.com and is in the process of building this web site for e-commerce.
