but it beats having to sludge thru their klunky website to do trades. Velocity is much faster for dialup users like me.
Okay, we have 1 advantage for Velocity <g>. Each morning, before market, I set up 6 browser windows for Schwab: 1 for stock trades, 1 for options, 1 for advanced options/spreads, 1 for order status & 2 for option quotes (I use QCharts & they effectively don't provide option quotes). Anyway, that's how I deal with the klunky website. Oh yeah...I have a little memory resident routine that refreshes one of the current quote windows every five minutes so I don't get logged out. This also effectively lets me know when the web site goes down. Compare to CyberX. I launch it before market and on one mini-screen I have a trade window, quote window and detailed account information (balances, buying power, open positions, etc.). I sure do hope Schwab learns something from CyberCorp. Either that or I hope CyberCorp expands their options trading to the CyberX platform and expands their options offering to include advanced options. |
