350M gift to MIT over 20 years, the largest
gift ever to a university--will be 'The
McGovern Institute for Brain Research',
"centerpiece of a new neuroscience complex"
and along side an expanded version of MIT's
Center for Learning and Memory.

MIT molecular biologist Philip Sharp will
direct the institute. Modeled from Whitehead
institute at MIT.
