As far as AMD is concerned, I don't see much downside unless RMBS can get a stop ship on DDR chips from everybody - an unlikely situation since even Intel needs DDR for servers.

This is a very aggressive approach by Rambus. At the end of the day, this has more to do with Rambus's future than anything else. They have an uphill task ahead of them in winning this lawsuit.
