I have taken to going to New York by train in the winter, although I still prefer driving in the summer. It is wonderful, although much more expensive "out of pocket". However, it is the Washington-New York route is the best in the country, in terms of price and efficiency, and the most used, and is not quite representative either. But the people have voted. Remember, when the Model T first came off the assembly line, the trains had all the advantages. We got here because people prefer cars.......
