Len, I can understand Brian's terse response since there would be so much effort involved in trying to explain things. I don't want to slam Brian anymore, but to just simply respond to your post by saying "Then he could have just said so." In any case Jeffry, I am sure someone will find an earlier post or find a good explanation of the technologies and post it here. I will be on the lookout for some posts. Thank you kindly. I certainly didn't intend to start anything here, nor act like a thread leech by expecting someone to drop and full and complete explanation of a detailed subject in my lap, I simply asked a question about what I perceived to be (from my incomplete reading of the thread) a critical difference between NTAP and its competition, not realizing the complexity required in answering. On the other hand. DS is the master and if he has offered to bring you up to speed via PM take advantage of him... One can get no higher praise than that you have given him. From what I gather from yours and others posts getting up to speed on what seems to be a very complex subject would involve more typing than I would ever want to ask anyone to do. If I want to drop some serious money into NTAP I will beg someone for their phone number! Best, Jeff Smith
