I haven't looked at IONA in a long time, not since they first made their splash on the scene with CORBA products.

Could they possibly be repackaging their core, intergration tools at a low level, as EIP tools? I don't think they are quite the same, if that's the case, but as I said I've not looked at IONA in a long while.

But surely the example is a decent enough one regardless. And surely the enterprise intergration of information management technologies, line of business applications, web access, windows access, "information at your finger tips" applications, that we've been building all along, could all be relabelled Enterprise Information Portals.
