Joint Software Development By The Companies Accelerate First Public Viewing of the Revolutionary Global Unified and Integrated Messaging System by Several Months
Global TeleMedia International, Inc. (OTC: BB: GTMI) and its joint development partner, Data Exchange, announced today the first public demonstration of MessagePilot(TM), via the Internet at messagepilot.com.
The Companies announced that the "linking of the Labs" which is considered a world first -- where labs on the opposite sides of the world link together on a 24 hour work platform -- has accelerated the development of this truly Global unified Messaging service that will forward messages from pagers, cell phones, fax, voice and e-mail to over 100 countries.
The companies have also linked MessagePilot(TM) with the BentleyTel.com Smart-E-Card. When travel is booked on the BentleyTel web site using the Smart-E-Card, MessagePilot(TM) will automatically forward all messages to the destination hotel, resort or any location without further commands. The system contains an automatic "return to normal" feature, which disables the forwarding mechanism when the BentleyTel member returns home.
Although the final monthly subscription fee has not been announced the President of Global TeleMedia, Jonathon Bentley-Stevens said, "We believe the monthly subscription will be significantly less than any of our competitors' who offer only a fraction of the services we offer."
He continued, "The just-concluded technology conference in New York with Government representatives from Australia, Malaysia and guests from other Pacific Rim Countries, was successful beyond our expectations. The conference was videotaped and a streaming video and audio rebroadcast can be seen on wallstreetnewscast.com. One guest, the General Manager of one of USA's top airlines, is considering several applications of MessagePilot(TM). Under one application, frequent flyers would be notified if there was a delay or cancellation in the flight as would the flight crew of schedule changes. This would significantly lower their current operations cost of sending multiple media notices and hoping the crew were informed."
Global TeleMedia COO, John Walsh, said, "In order for the airlines to have access to the MessagePilot(TM) the BentleyTel card would be included in the package. This would generate thousands of `instant members' for the BentleyTel.com Smart-E-Card. The BentleyTel.com members could also program the MessagePilot(TM) to screen non-urgent from high priority messages by `key word search' which would limit the interruption of meetings unless the message had been scheduled as priority."
Mr. Walsh continued, "The conference produced new ideas which had not even been conceived of before we began. For example, we could offer the service to Yahoo.com for informing the BentleyTel members of an upcoming "web cast" or other significant or special event. This would be at the option of the member."
A further highlight of the meeting was the introduction of Annette Gieseman, former Vice President of the NORTEL Intelligent Networks. She introduced the outline of an innovate and cost effective marketing plan roll out for MessagePilot(TM), based in part on her years of experience as Vice President of Marketing for Nortel and other companies.
