I guess you did not enjoy living under a dictatorship
of the proletariat. Actually, given the nature of
some of the unions in the United States, one can see
how putting the unions in control of the country could
be a pretty bad thing. Americans like John Gotti and
Jimmy Hoffa resemble their counterparts like Joseph
Stalin and Yuri Andropov. Probably the main reason
FDR is now on Mount Rushmore is that when he was faced
with the prospect of having to create the "Soviet"
United States, he made concessions to the unions but
did not give them complete state power (like Lenin did).
