Doug, I liked the 'server in a brick' idea, for mirroring your built-in HD [maybe with a time lag so you could go back to the way it was 10 minutes ago]. If this brick cost less than $200 and had foolproof software it would be attractive to me, especially with a USB connection.

My USB ZIP drive with Iomega's 'QuikSync' essentially performs this function already, but not for the contents of the whole HD, just a single folder like 'My Documents'.
