With all due respect, this is an overworn, deceptive rhetorical technique: to frame the issue apocalyptically, as if it were about sinister, undemocratic, unAmerican forces coming to take away your rights rather than the reality: empowering grass-roots Americans to freely and democratically shape the world they want to live in. You see it the way you frame it but I see the specter you hint at as a boogie-man trotted out that distracts from the real issues. See you at the ballot box--please leave the guns where they belong.
