That's BS. So 15% occlusion will not hurt his data flow? And what will a bird do, transmit 15% of the IR beam? LOL
Maybe he means he will be ok if only 15% of the bird flies through the beam. Let's see, a bird interrupting the beam for 1/100 of a second might in a 100mbps beam would block 1 mb. So instead of 1mb, he drops 150kb. Sounds significant to me. And he is going to beam this in windows, right? Isn't that where birds like to hang out?
