Yes, they do, but they are unpleasant and difficult to use at least they were 18 years ago- and you have to plan well ahead, as whatever you "milk", has to come from what's left after you nurse and while they say that you produce whatever is demanded, I didn't find it quite that easy-I don't know if they've improved all this. Also, some breastfed babies refuse to take bottles in any form.
I used formula when traveling for emergencies. But I'm not much of a fanatic about things. Some people really don't think it's reasonable to be expected to do this, and of course, if the baby won't take bottles, you're just out of luck.
