There's hope as more companies get involved with IVDS.
I understand that Intrinzix, Gateway and Welcome to the Future (WTTF)
are also involved in developing equipment for the IVDS industry (along with WINCOM's partner RTT). Equipment specs have been submitted to the FCC but no ruling as I'm aware. Some are in field testing. Intrinzix is developing two applications, one for CATV and one for the electric power industry (hmmmmm!). Other areas of progress include work toward interactive TV. TELE-TV is a joint venture between Bell Atlantic, NYNEX, and Pacific Telesis. PowerTV is working on a digital set-top box. etc...... (www.powertv.com)
I still believe that WINCOM has the toll booths and a highway in need of some traffic. Hopefully some of these big boys will develop the equipment necessary to deliver the applications in need of a two-way wireless path - and that is when we can collect some tolls!

Also frustrated with lack of news, but hanging in there. I hope this is how the early investors in cellular phones felt.

Hanging in there for the long run.

Bud.
