If need be this case will go all the way to the Supreme Court where Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor can once gain again address the fact that the states have no right to regulate Microsoft as a drug (ggg)

Frank, That is an interesting point. I am no legal expert on US laws.

If what you said is true, that could mean that DOJ/MSFT (along with settling with most states) can occur even if there is a holdout or two. That is, there is still reason for MSFT to strike a deal with the DOJ. Someone on TV was saying that MSFT would only settle if all states would agree to such an arrangement.

I think we are looking at a deal here!

BTW--The more i think about it, my fear about a holdout among the states is probably off base. The risk to such a state AG would be too significant to put his neck on the line---all alone!
