Here's the latest on how the sell signal is working for me. But first, I'll review the performance of the markets in general.
Just as it did last week, the US market made new highs again this week. As of tonight, the US market is again sitting at an all time high, 9.9% higher than it was on 1/12/00, when I was first able to act on the sell signal. This compares with the 6.3% higher from last Friday.
The total international market, as measured by the average performance of VWIGX and MNIGX, also went up from last week. It is now up 9.1% since 1/12/00, slightly less than the US market.
The European market, as measured by the average performance of PRESX, VEURX, and FEURX, also went up a little this week; the average is up 12.2%, as compared to 10.7% last week. Again, the average is skewed by the performance of FEURX.
Here's the data related to the above paragraphs.
% Diff. Since 1/12/00 Wilshire 5000 9.9% VWIGX 10.2% MINGX 8.0% Average of VWIGX and MNIGX 9.1% VEURX 5.8% PRESX 4.7% FEURX 26.0% Ave. of VEURX, PRESX, FEURX 12.2%
All in all, I'm 12.3% behind where I would have been if I had just held everything. That's slightly worse than last week's 8% behind.
Again, I didn't sell any more this week. I nibbled a little bit on some individual stocks, but really didn't buy too much of anything.
Here are my sales since the signal, as well as the percent increase (negative numbers indicate a decrease) in the prices since I sold.

All in all, the world markets went up about 3% this week. Both the international markets and the US markets are slightly more than 9% higher than on 1/12/2000, when I was first able to act on the sell signal.
Best wishes,
