Here is a really, really good one: What if Chairman Gates agrees to whatever Jackson throws at him, but transfer the price distribution aspect of "fair price to all computer maker" to Microsoft Canada.

In other words, he agrees on behalf of Microsoft Corp. that all further pricing will be fair and same price is issued to all computer makers. He then stop selling Windows 2000, etc. from Microsoft Corp., then let Microsoft Canada, which is totally separate entity by itself, to sell Windows 2000 to North American market. Microsoft Canada never agrees upon any anti-trust law, in fact, there isn't any "spell-out, strong, hardcore style" anti-trust law in Canada, at least the equivalent is nowhere as tough as USA.

So then Microsoft Canada starts issuing Windows 2000 at whatever pricing they wants, and nothing changes. As I understand, anti-trust law is enforceable in USA, and what
Microsoft Corp. signed & agreed, cannot represent Microsoft Canada, even Microsoft Canada is a company invested by Microsoft Corp.

As to the IE 5 browser issue, same thing, Microsoft Corp. can stop issuing/selling Windows 2000 & beyond, let Microsoft Canada sell the product, with IE 5 inside, what can they do?

>if they can't come to a decision
Jackson will come down real hard on MSFT as he knows they will appeal to Supreme Court.
