I agree with Mr. Wladawsky-Berger's statement about Linux..

I can tell you that Linux may even beat Windows on the
desktop in a relatively short time, not to mention the
server side which they already have a big chunk of... A
group of Mac guys in a company named Easel are doing a gui
that is supposedly quite good, better than gnome or kde.

I know there is a question of the Linux business model.
But the money is in continual service and consultant fees,
automated upgrade fees, etc.... not in one-shot application
license fees a la Wintel.

Cases in point: The Mexican national school system has
required linux. The US Post Office uses Linux for its mail
sorting. Many European countries are requiring Linux for
government contracts. It's here.

There was the runup in the fall over Linux hype. The
hype is over, stocks have since come down quite a bit.
You will see many Linux wins as the year progresses.

I'm not sure which companies are the best investments
at this time - that's why I've spread some of my money
over several of them, including LNUX (ANDN), CORL/INPR,
APLX, COBT, etc...
