Excellent call! Of course, patents are monopolistic by design. I wonder how much it is going to cost Hitachi to find that fact out.<LOL> The JEDEC ploy is a plausible defense even though I do not think it will be credible to those who know that combination patents are cool and publication has to be made according to the rules. Their only other argument is that this was common knowledge in the trade. I do not think that one will be credible either. :)
