Jdaasoc: Glad you started this thread.

I thought about doing it but I lack any tech expertise, plus kids keep me too busy to chase down much info. I lurk the G&K thread and others for ideas and DD starts, but I'm much more interested in early-stage companies in the right sectors than are most posters on G&K. I'll post from time to time, as knowledge allows.

I'm very interested, as I'm sure others reading this thread are, in what IP our company can call its own (if PANL can develop its own patents off a Kodak-licensed base, so can EMA), what products or component designs and fabs it has in what stage, and what type of OEM deals it has reason to believe it can achieve, when.

It's a jungle out there for cutting-edge light sources and displays. I read (I don't have the paper or a URL) of a large company that recently announced plastic LED-type material that it claims is far cheaper than existing alternatives, and of course eminently moldable. I'm just not going to buy a chemical company for that, any more than I'm going to buy TRW for its space-age tech (well, maybe if it gets even cheaper . . . ).
