I saw that....interestingly, if you count the ASND acquisition by LU, I think that the discrepancy between LU and CSCO is less than it may seem. Also, what percentage of the acquisition cost would you attribute to R&D? It can be argued that the R&D benefit is some lesser fraction than the whole. Maybe the fair thing is to take the R&D expenses of the acquired company for the previous 5 years and use that as the number...of course, I know nothing about the whole accounting thingee.
