Digger,

Have you missed the last few weeks of the show? There may have been some doubt at the onset of the year, but Bob clearly stated he was bearish on the radio, February 19, when he stated he has been in the bearish camp in the Investor's Intelligence survey since the beginning of the year. This, of course, was a change from his response earlier in the year when he dodged a similar question and called himself a tactical asset allocator.

Furthermore, Bob also went to great lengths to explain that a 40/60 allocation would be considered extremely bearish in the canyons of Wall Street. He also pointed out that only a portion of the 40% (25%) is in the U.S.

Finally, as evident by the sudden shift to 100% cash of many prominent posters on this thread, careful listeners know that a timing model indicating 5% upside and more than 20% downside is interpreted as a bear market.

As for today's show, of course, Bob went back to his tactical asset allocation script. He doesn't have the conviction to stand behind his call when it goes against him. In fact, it took an 18% drop in the Dow for him to come out and pronounce his bearishness and say he doesn't have a problem with a 0% weighting in the U.S.

Best Regards.
