Yes I was curious as well the origination and meaning of that term. Perhaps Yaacov can illuminate for us his meaning. When I was growing up in New York I remember my family implying that there were some tensions betweet ashkenazi and sephardic Jews but I did not know why. This may be presumptuous but I am curious how Yaacov feels doing business in Germany. Regards to all.
