Michael-- most investors and WS believe if you want a holding company like CMGI, then buy it. If a company cannot earn a decent return then it is not worth owning. The investment income is not for meeting consensus numbers,, esp those that are consistantly lowered. These sales will always be discounted IMO as WS wants them to perform and do what they are overpaid very well to do,, the profits from investments should become an "earnings fixture" as A PORTION OF an upside surprise not as a portion of consensus meant for the core,, Maybe the new CFO will be able to explain that to MC as he trains him???
