One approach which has worked well for HWP in in-circuit and semi test equipment is "pay per use", which allows the user to pay as they go. Another approach would be to trade use of the equipment for a share of the revenue. This is a new approach some consulting firms are going to...i.e. "pay us a share of the profits we generate".
