I finally had to join... I've been lurking on this thread since November. chic, Welcome to the thread....its a little quiet today....a lot stayed up for the 100000th post. I think there was an after the 100000th post party as well...I think they got a little f*cked up. As you all will notice, I'm an IBMer. Before anyone asks, I'll answer the question. Yes, the rumors are flying that our engineers have sampled something that would make Andy Grove "cringe". Keep in mind this is just a rumor. But isn't it a little ironic that there's rumors flying about an AMD chip when everyone knows we are sampling Iranium and Willy? I am a little slow....is IBM sampling spitfire or some other AMD chip? I think AMD is causing A. Grove and C. Barrett to cringe a lot no matter the circumstances. BTW I am not from your homeland.......sorry. ted
