It's not impossible that it could sell off on profit-taking even if there's a settlement.

I think that is an impossibility unless the market is in a severe correction itself. In a flat market, I think MSFT will rally big time. It has lagged the sector far too much not to rally going into the earnings in April.

I still feel the only reason to settle is the private lawsuits. That is probably why they don't want to admit to any wrongdoings as part of the settle.
