All dog and cat lovers must consider pet insurance. I know that I am very tight and I would bitterly resent having to pay a $5,000 vet bill for a worthless mangy dog, but I am also a sentimental fool who rescues mangy worthless dogs and takes them to vet when they are sick. I spend about $1000 a year on pet insurance for three dogs and get them the best of care.
