John:

Interesting questions, I am a physician and spoke to an ENT who
does some minor cosmetic work in his office and he was doing cheek
liposuction several years ago. I showed him the news flash from the
company several months ago and he said that he saw devices made in
France which were very good. I also watched a segment about the same time on TV, ? 60minutes or 20/20 equivalent covering the new lipo-
suction technique. They never mentioned a name or showed a close-up
of the device but implied that these instruments were just becoming
available in the US. I have seen the old cut and suck done and the big problem has been nerve damage and blood loss. I came away from the TV program thinking that the only drawback was the ultrasound head
was a little protuberant and hence the entry incision(read scar) would
also be bigger. My opinion is they just bury the scar in a crease or
hidden area(eg. breast implants can be burrowed from the armpit[axilla] or from a navel incision(would love to see this one
done)). Burns and bruising are side effects too. I know little else
firsthand, have been disappointed that the annual reports do not show
more of their products, I buy and sell the stock but was intrigued with the -0- liability history for implants. Vanity being what it is and the baby-boomers learning about the effects of gravity, this should be a winner. Nice move Friday, I maybe out of the stock again.
