Thanks for your response, Bernard. I'm quite aware that TKLC is NOT an optical company. The point of my post was that the article I referenced described the circuit-nature of optical switching, which was reminicenst of my somewhat limited understanding of SS7 technology. Maybe you could provide me with a better elementary understanding of SS7.

Notwithstanding, someone on another message board a number of weeks ago asked whether TKLC had any products in the optical arena. Though my response was that I was not aware of any, I thought this optical switching may be one area that TKLC might presently be exploring.

Any commentary would be appreciated. TIA.
