Yama, In Harmon's latest appraisal of the sb organization, he doesn't mince words: Dear Steve Where do you see Softbank going? Harmon: Softbank to me is in the enviable spot of having investments in several key Internet areas: networks (Yahoo); trading (E*Trade), NASDAQ Japan; Verisign (VRSN) and a few others. Not all are huge successes, though.. But having a Yahoo or Verisign makes up for all the ones people forgot about. In a few years I think Softbank could be one of the world's largest corporations. It already has several divisions. The key will be managed growth in the right areas and adding more management to help it grow.
