The Wall Street Journal

Integrated Device Technology Inc. is expected to announce today that it is
forming a new division, dubbed the Internetworking Products division, that
will hone the company's focus on making chips for communications markets.
Jerry Taylor, chief executive officer of the Santa Clara, Calif., chip maker,
said the company will focus on making microprocessors and memories for
markets such as networking equipment and phone-company infrastructure.
The company will stop most future development of microprocessors for
television set-top boxes and printers. Last year, the company shut its
graphics-chips business and sold its Winchip microprocessor operation.
Mr. Taylor said about 75% of the company's revenue comes from
communications chips now.
