Walking In Sandels....

>>You state first:

>For I do not claim to have the answers.

and then:

>He needs to define an empowered personal philosophy which begins with his own experience. He needs to help ndividuals understand it. He needs to get into the streets of life and really begin to make a massive, massive difference in the world.

You claim not to have the answers and then you keep telling him what he "needs" to do.>>

George:

Sure sounds like a flip flop.

But read and think again.

All I'm saying is that Eric's mission in this world is part of our collective mission.

We each have a mandate to help, serve and learn from each other.

This doesn't mean we DON'T express ourselves or have opinions/thoughts.

It just means that we have to be careful not to take possessive ownership of these opinions/thoughts.

World history is full of individuals who talked a good game and attracted followers based on their opinions/thoughts, etc.

The fundamental question to ask is: What did this people do with their notoriety? Did they use it to advance their personal cause or they they gift their energies out to others in the spirit of service to virally launch several/hundredes/thousands of personal service fission reasctions which collectively made a positive difference in the world.

Look at the great service leaders in world history.

Look at not what they said, but their actions.

Look at how many people they personally inspired.

Look at how they placed themselves at the bottom in service to anyone, anything they can into contact with.

Look at the risks they took.

Eric and all of us are equals.

We all have the power to produce massive positive change throughout the world.

All we have to do is believe.

>>All I am saying is that I trust Eric Schmidt and his team to come up with the right answers to make Novell's shareholders money up the wazoo in this "New" economy.>>

And, yes, I too believe in Eric's ability to make a HUGE difference for Novell. I would not be spending this time and energy if I didn't think and believe this was possible.

If you think I'm anti-Eric you are missing the point.

I am anti-all-those-things which are holding Novell back.

There is nothing personal here. And this goes for Stewart Nelson and all the rest.

Making these points does not make one popular. Someone's got to do it, however. Put me at the bottom of this massive inverted pyramid. I'm just lighting a match.

Let the Peter Strifas's, Scott Lemons, Paul Fiondellas and Toys of this community work their magic. They, too, have to be empowered to make a difference. Most of us sit on safely on the fence for understandable reasons.

I just think the growth crowd will be gathering on the other - New - side. Let politics be politics. I want nothing to do with them.

Peace.

GO!!
