(Nasdaq: DHTI - news) today announced a mobile computing solution that provides clinicians with rapid, convenient access to test results and reports over the Internet. The system will be introduced today at the 89th Annual Meeting of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) in New Orleans La.
The cornerstone of the solution is Dynamic WebSight, an advanced information system for communicating clinical results from laboratory, radiology, pathology and other departments over the Internet to remote facilities and clinicians. By coupling Dynamic WebSight with the Handheld PC from Hitachi, Dynamic gives clinicians an affordable, mobile computing alternative that is as familiar and versatile as a conventional desktop computer. Powered by Microsoft© Windows© CE, Hitachi's pen-operated touch screen computer is lightweight, wireless and anti-microbial UV coated -- making it suitable for use in hospitals.
Mitchel J. A mobile computing option saves time and enhances the clinical decision-making process for more cost-effective delivery of care.'
