Sam and Thread- Don't take my humor wrong, I was feeling the pain. But at least a few analysts getting caught with their pants down made it more bearable. Well At least some of them did. Apparently some sold out their positions. Some got caught.

Obviously there was a lot of action going on when it went from 60 to 40. And then afterwards, up pops the Barron's article. It stinks.

This isn't the first time this has happened. As the Barrons article referenced, check out the pattern in December. Notice the price goes from 60 to 30 and THEN Antec does an annoucement saying they won't meet expectations on Dec 29th. Well by that time it got slaughtered already.

Luckily, as a company, they are pretty well positioned and a lot of analyst know it. Otherwise there probably would have been more permanent damage done each time.

So two times in a row, the stock takes a MAJOR hit, THEN the news comes out. Apparently ANTC is not a company interested in treating individual investors respectfully. I'm pretty discouraged about it too. All in all, it's terrible investor relations. Kind of like the old days when Malone called all the shots.

If they wanted a model on how to warn, they should look at TLABs. When TLAB lost the AN2100 Sprint contract, TLAB was upfront about it and everyone got the news at the SAME time. ANTC could have easily handled this recent problem the same way with much better damage control. -MikeM(From Florida)
