Tench Re....<< Well, since you asked, try:

1) RDRAM chipsets (with help from Rambus, of course)
2) 810 integrated chipset
3) Mendocino Celeron
4) 450NX 4-way chipset
5) Profusion 8-way chipset
6) Streaming SIMD enhancements
7) Advanced Hub Architecture (a.k.a. HubLink)
8) Coppermine
9) FC-PGA packaging
10) Notched 0.18u gates

Tench , it is surprising that you consider some of the bigger flops of 99 some of Intels better innovations. If the Rambus chipsets are an example of Intels finest hour, what would you call a flop. The 810 as far as I know has been a flop since day 1. The mendocino celeron was an answer to AMD'S and cyrix's low end chip;streaming simd enhancements grew out of 3dnow; The advanced hub architecture is both more expensive and slower than BX.; and the jury is probably still out on the benefits of the notched gates as there still appear to be yield problems with coppermine and I haven't heard anything about Willy having notched gates. Other than these minor points its a wonderful list.
