Nokia to Supply GSM 1800 Network to Chongqing Mobile Telecommunications in China
  HELSINKI, Finland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 2000--Beijing Nokia MobileTelecommunications (BNMT), one of Nokia's joint ventures in China, has signed a contractto supply a GSM 1800 network to new customer Chongqing Mobile Telecommunications in China 
  Nokia will deliver base stations, and base station controllers, as well as the Nokia Network Management System. In addition Nokia will provide a full range of Professional Services covering Network Planning, Project Management, Implementation, Commissioning and Training. 
  Deliveries will commence in the second quarter of this year and the network expansion is expected to be operational during the fourth quarter. 
  Chongqing Mobile Telecommunications currently has 770,000 subscribers. The new GSM 1800 network will allow Chongqing to increase capacity and introduce new services.
