I was just asking myself that same question. If JDSU has a tunable laser then it would allow Cisco and others to play catch up faster. Although they would have to rely on JDSU for this key component. JDSU makes up a bigger position in my portfolio than Nortel (and Siebel and NTAP bigger still) so I would 'win' either way. Let me know if you find anything on JDSU and such a laser.
