yep, but the gyrations in the Euro, i.e. the recent volatility tell me that the trend is nearing exhaustion. especially since everybody and his grandmother is now short the Euro and the downside targets are subject to imaginative deflation. in view of the US current account deficit being on its way to hit the 500bn. mark this year, i simply can't believe the excessive bearishness toward the Euro.
i agree the Swiss WILL sell their gold...if they don't , others will in their stead. the Wash. agreement guarantees 400 tons from the European CB's every year. however, the supply/demand shortfall is possibly higher than the estimates from earlier this year indicate. which makes one REALLY wonder how the price manages to stay so depressed.
